SPS AWARDED ABC OF THE CAROLINAS EAGLE AWARD

November 2011 -  SPS won the prestigeous Eagle Award for Excellence in Constuction through  ABC of the Carolinas for the UNCC Center City Classroom Building.  Working with Rodgers Builders, SPS installed 66,000 sf of glass curtainwall systems and 14,000 sf metal wall and soffit panel systems in the 12-story building, which resembled a twisted Rubik’s cube once it was completed. The project was also selected as a finalist for Project of the Year.

In addition to the Eagle Award, SPS was the specialty contractor on jobs that won the Carolina Green Award, by Brasfield & Gorrie, for the Raleigh Transit Operations Facility and the Free Enterprise Award, won by KBR/Turner Joint Venture, for the Boeing Company 787 Expansion project.
