SPS Corporation offers the following services for all panel and glass projects:
Engineering
Our team of in-house engineers produce detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings. They reference the project architectural and structural drawings to create job specific shop drawings with custom design details. Specific frame and panel fabrication drawings are created from the approved shop drawings. Drawings are created using CAD software, with BIM modeling capabilities.
Glazing systems, ACM panels, louvers, as well as breakmetal for trims, copings and flashings are fabricated in our manufacturing facilities located in Apex, North Carolina (40,000 sq ft), and Ft. Wayne, Indiana (15,000 sq ft). Products are fabricated using state-of-the-art high-tech equipment to ensure the highest possible production quality. All fabrication is performed using engineered fabrication drawings and following stringent quality control guidelines. All glazing system frames, architectural wall panels, coping and trim are packaged in protective materials before shipping to the project jobsite. Materials are clearly labeled to correspond to the project shop drawings.
All products are installed by trained, in-house field personnel using approved shop drawings. In addition to the installation crews, every job is assigned a superintendent and a general superintendent to ensure quality and safety on the jobsite. SPS Corporation is keenly focused on maintaining an excellent safety record. Our commitment to safety is substantiated by an EMR (Experience Modification Rate) of well less than 1.0, ranging from 0.74 to 0.82 over the past five years. Our full-time safety officer provides frequent training to field personnel to ensure we comply with all local, state and federal safety standards, codes, regulations and owner requirements. Quality installation starts with a safe and healthy workplace, with a special focus on jobsite safety.
Project Management
Each project is assigned a project manager, who works closely with the customer to successfully execute the project and manage the project schedule to completion. Our project managers use Microsoft Project software to manage project schedules and Timberline accounting software to manage project financials. The project executive supports our project managers to resolve issues that arise during construction to ensure customer satisfaction.
Estimating
SPS Corporation offers full service sales and estimating support, including budget pricing and design build assistance. When providing bid pricing for projects, we often provide Value Engineering (VE) pricing options to reduce costs while maintaining performance. With more than 100 years of combined industry experience, our estimating team has established excellent relations with general contractors, architects, owners and vendors.
